There’s no better way to get your kitchen spick-and-span than our Kamenoko Tawashi Scrub. Named for the Japanese for “baby turtle” because of its charming yet functional shape, this little dish scrub was first handmade in Tokyo over one hundred years ago using natural palm fibers bound together with galvanized wire — and it has been a staple in Japanese households ever since. Specially designed to fit comfortably in the hand, its coarse texture makes it great for scrubbing stubborn messes off of frying pan, cast iron pots, colanders and other heavy-duty dishes. It can also be used to remove dirt from root vegetables, peel fresh produce without removing too much of its nutrient-rich skin or for giving sinks, stovetops and other surfaces a deep clean. Truly made to last, this high-quality scrubber can also be used for up to three times longer than other sponges and scrubbers with proper care — and when it is time to say goodbye, you can do so guilt-free as it’s made from eco-friendly materials. A must-have for any kitchen, keep our Kamenoko Tawashi Scrub sitting sinkside for whatever tasks you need to tackle.
